RiskWise features a unique Modular approach.
Each Module focuses on a specialist area of property risk management and provides a detailed set of features relevant to that specific area.
The Modules are:
The Health & Safety Module is a simple yet effective way of logging inspections and the hazards identified, and then managing the associated risk and related actions through to resolution.
It enables any type of property event or inspection to be logged along with associated improvement actions. Each action includes a prioritised action target date, person responsible, associated digital photographs and progress notes, which can be automatically added by the system or manually by individual users.
Actions can also be transferred between users and dates extended by authorised individuals when required.
The Module can record a wide range of relevant data including:
- property/portfolio data, with the option to add fields and create your own database and search by any field
- site management structure
- Health & Safety policy documentation and procedures
- names of first-aiders and fire wardens
- contractor details
- essential safety documentation such as the Asbestos Register, and equipment inspection and insurance records
- site safety checks, including fire escape routes, trip hazards, structural damage, etc.
- site management checks, including policy information, permits, etc.
It can also automate processes and offer enhanced compliance reporting, including flexible report configuration, analysed by building, group of buildings or entire portfolio, or by geographic area/region.
Legal compliance
Health & Safety law requires that companies and property managers look after the Health, Safety and Welfare of their employees and others who could be affected by their work e.g. clients, contractors and visitors to their premises.
Employers with five or more employees also have a duty to identify, assess and control Safety risks and record the significant findings of their risk assessments.
With the RiskWise Health & Safety Module, providing and managing a safe working environment and ensuring compliance need not be difficult or time-consuming.
RiskWise is designed to meet each client's individual needs and help them satisfy the requirements of Health and Safety law and good practice. It is based on British Standard OHSAS 18001 - the recognized standard for Health and Safety management systems.
The Accident & Incident Reporting Module allows the recording and logging of an accident or incident in individual properties.
The reporting categories, classification of severities and terminology can be fully customized to each client's individual needs, allowing them to produce reports in a wide variety of formats.
If an accident or incident has associated remedial actions, these can be tracked through to resolution.
Environmental management issues, including environmental risk, are a growing concern for property and health and safety managers. Every business and every commercial building is associated with activities, products or services that have an impact on the environment.
Responsible property risk managers have a duty to ensure that property assets are managed with special regard to the efficient use of natural resources and their impact on the global and local environment.
The RiskWise Environmental Management Module enables:
- the tracking of all environmental inspections and audits along with associated improvement actions - all the way through to resolution
- recording, monitoring and reporting on energy consumption and waste management data
- monitoring and comparing costs, efficiency and carbon emissions, by property, client or any property data field
- auto highlighting of unexpected or abnormal data to help ensure accurate entry and identify issues
- benchmarking analysis across properties in the portfolio to compare performance, identify opportunities to reduce costs and make a positive impact on an organisation's carbon footprint.
Each property can be set up to record everything with environmental relevance at that site.
The work of contractors on site often poses significant risk liabilities. The Contractor Management Module provides a comprehensive and effective way of managing contractors and their work.
The Contractor Management Module offers:
- a flexible management database of approved contractors/ tradesmen
- an on-screen contractor approval tool
- a library of contractor information, including safety risk assessments, policy information and method statements
- a system event tracking tool to log and provide reminders of insurance information and other time-sensitive data
- the means to allocate individual actions to appropriate and approved contractors
- the ability to seek, receive and approve quotations for work
- a contractor assessment and feedback feature, to allow users to record and score their experiencee of a contractor's work
- a permit facility
These Modules cover the most critical elements of managing property risk including health and safety and key environmental management issues, such as energy consumption and waste management.
Clients can choose just the Module or Modules relevant to their current needs and add further Modules as their requirements change, all integrating seamlessly and easily.
New Modules are already in development; and like all the existing Modules they will share a common look and feel.
